The goal: Development of new mechanization technologies and promotion of a specific machine system for grassland farming, under conditions of minimum fuel consumption and a reduced ecological impact.
The achievement of the objectives regarding the grassland improvement and its utilization, conditioned also by the restrictive factors that limit the productive potential of these areas, required the development and diversification of the scientific research activities in the field of mechanization of the works on the pastures.
As a result of the research activity in this field, experimental models, prototypes and execution projects of machines specific to the mechanization of grassland farming were designed, realized and tested for the first time, such as: Direct drilling machine for oversowig degraded grasslands, MSPD 2.5 type; Sowing machine for grassland, MSPFP 2.0 type; Modernized machine for seeding the fodder plants, MSPM 2.5 type ; Planer-grader for grassland RGP 2.0 type.
In order to form complex agricultural aggregates, which carry out several operations in a single pass, a series of equipments have been created which are mounted front, behind the power source or on other component machines: Equipment for metering solid additives in silage making, EDCON; Fertilizing equipment, EF 2.5; Herbicide banding equipment, EEB 2.5; Fertilizing equipment, EF 3.75 and Seeding equipment, ESR 3.75.
Due to the originality of the constructive and technological variants promoted by the researchers in designing new machines and equipment used in the mechanization of grassland farming, some of them have been patented, namely:

- Equipment for metering solid additives in silage making, EDCON – Patent number RO 104047/1994;
- Pivoting drive mechanism - Patent number RO 125884/2012;
- Turning device with pivoting wheel - Patent number RO 125495/2015.
